| Properyt Damage/Insurance Claims i am from tx. my 1997 jeep was hit by a drunk driver, his insurance company totaled the vehicle, the adjuster let me know that the vehicle was going to be totaled and transfered my claim to a loss adjuster, the loss adjuster has not called and he has sent only one letter informing me that the insurance company will no longer pay storage fees at a repair yard, and they pulled the rental. this vehicle was also in my chapter 13 bankruptcy plan. is the insurance company liable to pay me directly for the value of my jeep since my plan calls for me to have a vehicle. also i owed more on the jeep than the book value, do i have to come up with the payoff of the jeep, why are there no laws protecting people in situations like this. i feel i am being punished because someone else was intoxicated and in possession of cocaine. |
