ran over by youth in car

What is the name of your state? oklahoma
I ve been told that i cannot sue the parents of a 17 year old male. Even though he ran over me and broke my leg severly enough to cause 35,000 dollars worth of medical bills. now his parents auto insurance paid most of the bills, but i've been off work since july 05. it has caused enough damage that i will not be able to do what i have been doing for a living. but i cant collect for pain or loss wages. why is this? i need help.

Who owned the car the kid was driving? Do you have an attorney representing your interests?
