I am in Oregon. On my way to work last week I rear-ended a car that was partially thru the intersection at a green light. His rear tires were at the far side of the crosswalk. This is not a normal 4 way and was unable to see the car untill too short a distance to stop on the wet pavement. This lane is a right turn only and the light is always green - no other traffic can lawfully enter the lane we were in. I belive the guy caused the accident intentionally for the insurance money. Of course now him and girlfriend are claiming injuries and have a lawyer
My question is am I just screwed for rear-ending him or can I show that he was atleast partly at fault. My insurance sounds like there not putting up much of a fight for me. I have not given a full statement yet, notified them I believe the accident was caused fraudulently.
Anything I can do to help myself?
