What is the name of your state? Missouri
About 6 months ago I was traveling home from work in a line of traffic. An 18-wheeler stopped abruptly in front of me to avoid hitting a vehicle that did not signal. I stopped; however, the vehicle behind me did not get stopped before rearending me and pushing me into the 18- wheeler. I had a back injury (ribs out of place) and a chipped tooth. No one else was injured. I feel like my back is going to be alright. My tooth was not severe enough for the dentist to think it needed fixed unless I wanted a veneer. I missed some work for doctor’s appointments, lost wages around $200. The rearender’s insurance paid for my car repairs but I’m not sure what to do about the personal injury portion of my claim. I don’t want to drag this into some huge battle I just want to be compensated fairly. I just don’t know what that is. How do I measure pain for every breath I took for a four-week period? I was also told my husband would have to sign off on the settlement because he had also suffered; he had to do the house work. Don't laugh it WAS painful for him. I found this site looking for answers I hope to get some good advice. Someone point me in the right direction please.
Thanks,
