What is the name of your state? Pennsylvania
I had an estimate done and received a check from the Insurance Company. The check was in my name and the Body shops name is it possible to get one just in my name?

You would have to check with your insurance company.

Is the check to pay the body shop for work done?
Or is it to pay you for what you paid out of pocket?

I know that when I was written a check for my car stereo that was stolen, the insurance company printed it with MY name and the name of the BANK who the loan was through.

Yes, if you do not have a lien on the vehicle. If there is a lien, it needs to be made out to you and the lien holder, or you and the body shop. This helps protect the interest of the lien holder.
