Hi

Last night in california, i reversed out of my parking stall at home and hit a car parked illegally behind me. Who is at fault for this?

Illegally parked as in - parked in a redzone where no stopping is allowed.

I'm sure you have heard this line before, "Two wrongs don't make a right". It is still your responsibility to avoid other vehicles whether legally parked or not. Not the answer you were looking for.

HomeGuru response: Who is at fault? You are, for you are the one that did not look carefully before reversing and you are the one that hit the other vehicle.
