I live in new jersey. I was wrongfully accused of not paying my medical bills which ended me up in court. My medical insuranse was accepted by the doctor which also got the ok to do a procedure in the hospital,to make a long story short, the doctor was paid and the hospital said they were not so they came after me. They were very rude to me and my wife and they even tried to garnish my salary, anyway my wife had gotten the governer involved and wouldnt you know it the hospital started sending apology letters to my house they told me that they would refund the money i paid them just so i didnt have to go to court for this. Recently I found out that they put a collection on my credit record so now I have bad credit ,please tell me is there any way I can get back at these people and to be compesated for all the crap they put me through.PLEASE ANSWER,THANKS.

Demand that they either remove the collection from your reports, or add a letter stating that the debt was later determined to be invalid & was voluntarily cancelled by the hospital. State that if they exercise either option, you will consider the matter settled and will not pursue legal remedies. You might also call in the big guns again.

If they don't cave, you get to add a letter to that effect yourself. It's more persuasive coming from them though.
