What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? Georgia--My daughter and I were on a ride in 6 flags amusement park in georgia. I can't remember the name of the ride but it was the rollar coaster with the wooden frame.

We reached the top of the first long climb and the car started to drop. We were both lifted out of our seats with the force of the drop and landed sharply on our rear ends. I felt a slight pain but she screamed in pain and continued screaming and crying for the rest of the ride. I held her as still as I could to minimize her pain. By the time we entered the boarding area she had stopped screaming and was able, with my help, to exit the car and walk down the ramp. We cut our visit short and went home. We have since incurred several hundred dollars worth of doctor's bills due to the accident. X-rays show nothing. She has been treated by our chiropracter.

This was about 4 months ago. She is still complaining about pain in her back when she jumps or runs. She never had any trouble with these activities before this incident. My question is can I recover the money for the doctor's bills from 6 flags even though I didn't file an incident report on the day she got hurt? Is there a time limit on filing? I am worried that this is going to be a long term problem.

She is 11 years old. And by the way the reason I didn't file a report that day is because I felt that since she was able to walk and had stopped crying, there was no lasting damage.

Thank you both for your replys. Because the x-rays didn't show anything and the fact that my daughter was able to bend forward and had normal range of motion her doctor thought that is was a muscle spasm. He prescribed bed rest, massage, heat therapy. We did this . She has little or no pain while she does minimal activity but as soon as she runs, jumps, or turns quickly, the pain returns. I want to take her to a specialist but the bills are mounting and I would like to be reinbursted if at all possible.

No, I didn't ever contact 6-flags because I believed the doctors, that it was minor and would be relieved with time and rest. Unfortunately this hasn't been the case. Four months later and she still has pain in her upper back.

I think I made a big mistake not notifying 6-flags on the day of the initial injury. This won't stop me from getting the help that my daughter needs but as I have been laid off twice this year, money is tight and we could use some help. Thanks for reading my post and for your replies.
