What is the name of your state? California

Bit of a nightmare here...

My insurance co. is calling my car repairable, the frame was bent and the value of the repairs is around 50% of the value of the car. Here's my question: Can I sell the vehicle as is to a salvage co. and get the repair value from my insurance co? I'm going to turn around and sell it even if it's repaired, it might not be worth the effort.

Thank you!

If the car is repairable, the insurance company is going to have it repaired. They are not going to cut you a check for the repair value.

A salvage yard is not going to give you the other 50% of the cars value. You will come out better if have it fixed and then sell it.

Your insurance is going to make the check out to the body shop.
