Question: Are there monetary limits in the state of Tx governing the maximum amount that a person can be awarded in auto accident injury cases?

I AM ALWAYS LIABLE

My response:

It all depends upon in which court the case has been filed.

For example, if your case is filed in Small Claims court, the most you could ever hope to be awarded is $5,000.00.

However, depending upon the severity of the injuries, if your case was filed in any one of the District courts, those courts have original jurisdiction in civil matters in which the amount in controversy (the amount of money or damages involved) is $200 or more - - and the jurisdictional amount is "Sky is the Limit".
