| In settlement talks with adjuster This accident occurred in MASS, but I am a CT resident. I had my first meeting to settle my claim (spinal/neck strain shoulder strain and knee contusion). My specials were about 3K, and it took me 12 PT's 4 Dr's and 1 ER visit for my treatment. In the talks, the adjuster offered me 3K. I thought my claim was worth 11K. I came down, and she came up, but the distance is still so far apart. (3700 vs my 9K). She suggested I get an attorney, since nothing I could say would change her offer. Is this a tactic on her part - or is she being truthful. Should I send in another lower demand letter - or wait for her to contact me. The way we left things last night was that she was going to get the final notes from the DR and "give me a call sometime." Her attitude was definately not very good when she left. What should my next step be? I am willing to settle for 5K, but do not want to come out and say that. Thank you for reading. |
