I ran accross a person who was in an at-fault accident in which a police report was never filed and a claim to the insurance company was never submitted. He wants to pay for the damage he did to the other drivers car but is worried that after he pays the other driver might still sue him or might submit a claim. Is there a form that he can fill out and have the other driver sign that would essentially waive, upon acceptance of the money, the other drivers right to sue or submit a claim for more monies?
