| | | | Sex Discrimination? I live in Connecticut.
I know that for woman, car insurance is cheaper, and for men, its more expensive. isnt this discrimination? you are charging someone more for insurance because theyre a guy and discriminating against them saying "all guys are worse drivers than woman" when not all drivers are worse. if they did this and found that statistically, black people got into 12% more accidents than whites (or any percentage) and charged them more for insurance, they would be sued, so why cant you sue the insurance company for charing more for guys than for woman? |

Who said you could not sue them? You can sue anyone. Do I think you have a legal question? NOPE.

In fact, you are so astonishingly correct in this matter, it will not surprise us one bit if you are offered a generous settlement, because, by golly, that’s just how it should be.

| | | This is not a case of gender/racial discrimination; rather, insurance companies base their underwriting decisions based on statistical fact. Statistically, men have more accidents than women; hence, the higher rate. |
