Should i Pay for the other cars damages?

I was driving my newly obtained car home one night while it was raining. i came over a hill and saw headlights in my lane. i slamed on my breaks but since the concreat was wet i slid and side swiped the car anyway. I had not got insurace yet on my car so i got an unisured ticket. Then i was informed that i would be sued for the cost of the damage to the other car. Since the other car was illegaly parked facing me on my side of the road should i still have to pay the insurance? thanks

You hit a parked car? Of course you have to pay for it. You are supposed to maintain control of your vehicle so that you DON'T hit parked vehicles.

Yes, you're responsible for the damages to the other vehicle. You were traveling at a speed that was unsafe for the road conditions.
