I have a childcare in my home in Florida. A baby of 3 months died in my home in my care of SIDS. Can I be sued? Could I lose my home? My understanding and research of SIDS states that it is not preventable so can a
SIDS death be labeled as accidental? And if so can I be sued because of the word accident? Doen't accident mean that it could have been prevented in some manner? Thank you for any answers. I have never used this site before so I do not know if you answer here or e-mail address is:

Again, Thank you.

Of course you will be sued..just for the heck of it...doesnt matter if you are innocent, the parents wlll sue just to make themselves feel like they tried to do something.

So you'd better have liabilty insurance.

And a bunch of cash to pay a lawyer...

But the GOOD news is the lawyer is tax deductable as a business expense, just NOT as a personal expense.
