i slipped & fell in a major supermarket in california. it was 7am, was raining & the floors appeared to have been recently waxed. the manager was not on the premises yet but an employee gave me the store phone# & suggested i call back after 9, which i did. i had left the store & went to work but had to leave after i started to tighten up & hurt. it was early so there were no witnesses. i went to the doctor, who gave me pain pills & muscle relaxers. she said i should feel fine in a few days but the neck injury could linger for awhile. do i have legal recourse?
