Slip & Fall, Do I Have A Case??

Please advise if I have a case or not. I am located in Mobile, AL. This past Friday, I went to pic my puppy up @ the vet, and as I was leaving I stepped/fell off the curb and twisted my right ankle. I spent 5 hours in the er that night, only to be told that I had cracked a bone in my ankle. On Tuesday I saw a orthopedic doctor, more xryas were done, and he informed me of the same, torn ligaments and a cracked/chipped/crushed bone in the right ankle. He doesn't think surgery will be required, but, in my business (real estate sales) I am on my feet 24/7. HELP, do I have a case, what should my next step be? THANKS FOR ANY ADVICE!!
