my 12 year old son was hit by a car that was going the wrong way on a one way street. The "one way" sign was knocked down by a car a few years ago, but the city never put it back up. Should my wife and I
be compensated in addition to my son?

I am sorry to hear about the injury.

Your ability to recover depends on state law. But generally your lawyer will represent all of you and seek the highest recovery that is practicable. The other side (and perhaps the city is liable along with the driver) will view settlement as a package if parents are entitled to recovery in your state.
