Son's Auto Insurance

We live in IN. My son is currently driving a car in my name, but he is listed as the primary driver of the vehicle. The car is only driven to and from school (about 5 miles/day). Does he need to be listed as the primary driver, or can the primary driver be me becasue I am the owner? Would any accident still be covered if he were driving but was not listed as a driver? Is this what is covered by uninsured motorist?

I am trying to find ways to cut insurance costs. The insurance on the car right now is ridiculous!

This would depend on the terms of your policy. Hiding a teenage driver could be considered fraud by the insurance company and they could deny any liability.
