While my son was parked at someone's home, from which she also runs a daycare, a portable basketball goal was not secured and fell over onto the hood, scraping it and smashed the passenger side of the windshield and broke off the passenger side view mirror. She said she rents the home, does not have renter's insurance and is not required to have insurance as a registered daycare provider. Is she liable or are we out of luck? We only carry liability on the car.
