| Hold on a moment. The defendant has the right to appeal the small claims decision. if no appeal is filed within 30 days of the date of the small claim decision, then the award becomes a judgment.
If an appeal is filed, you do the same case all over again. Only difference is that the case is heard before a Superior Court judge. Dont fret, the judge who hears the appeal will have all of the notes of the small claims judge and will already know what the original decision was. Barring any major new evidence, the decision will most likely be upheld. |
