state run facility..no medical attention when needed

What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? Kansas. my 16 yr old son was in a car accident and crushed his leg. the drs put a steel rod in it and were doing therapy. during this time he was sent to topeka juvinile correctional center. once there we had his dr [specialist] fax all records to them because they said that he would no longer be able to see the specialists that they would be able to take care of his needs there. it took a month and a lot of calls to get them to look at him. as of this date they havent done anything to treat him. there seems to be no cares about it and if not treated right he could be left maimed for life! the dr he was seeing said that he would probobly need bone grafts and such at a later date. but that he was so young he probobly would make a full recovery, if he does what the dr tells him.

what can i do!!

He will be in there at least 10 more months.

We keep getting a run around at every place we turn to.
All they agencies that we have talked with say they will check it out and get back with us. Even the person in charge of the facility said that he would look into it and call us back THAT day and that has been over a week ago.
My concern is that if not properly treated he will not have the full and proper function of his leg.

The Juvinile Justice Authority case worker from our hometown is new and told us to consult an lawyer{ which is a problem..no monies to do so}, she has never dealt with the Topeka Division.
She said that she has done all that she knew to do and that the
lawyer would know what to do.
