Can a young legal aged adult (19 yo female) sue for medical malpractice for a missed diagnosis by her pediatrician when she was 18 months old child? (in the state of Massachusetts). The pediatrician missed a congenital disslocated hip which has required multiple surgeries and more to come.

I am a law school graduate. What I offer is mere information, not to be construed as forming an attorney client relationship.

Great question -- it depends.

When did this discovery happen? When the child is 18 years of age? By her or parents? How? Etc.

This will determine if the statute of limitations is up.

Also, what damages did she suffer as a result of this misdiagnosis? See you have to show the misdiagnosis caused some damage that otherwise would not have happened.
