What is the name of your state? PA

I was involved in a very unusual accident on 9/12/01. I was in a gas station pumping gas when a garbage truck tire, which had come off the truck several hundred feet up the road, slammed into my truck pushing it over about 6-8". I was on the other side and the impact threw me up against the pumps and then knocked me down.
It's been almost a year and the insurance company is "dragging their feet" with a settlement. My question is this - What is the statute of limitations for filing a personal injury suit? I've been told a year, two years and several others, but what is the correct time limit?
