| On Monday I wrote a note to my son's PE teacher, asking him to excuse my son from PE this week, since his knee was bothering him. He hurt his knee in PE last year, was home for 8 weeks. His PE teacher excused him from running the track, however he was still to play basketball( they run the track before starting an activity). While playing basketball his bad knee locked up causeing him to fall on his good knee. Now he has damaged his good knee and is home in a brace. He stayed home this week since he can't walk and isn't stable on cruches yet. I'm not sure if he will be in school next week, it all depends on his knees and how much pain he is still in. We are in California, are the schools liable for medical expenses in this case. Also there is a note in his file stating modified PE no team sports or running. |
