this accident took place in the state of indiana. i don't think that this accident is going to be reported to the insurance company. who is legally responsible for the damages caused in the accident described below?

chelsea,an 18 year old girl, gives permission to 2 friends to drive her car while she is out of town. chelsea knows that one of the friends is 18yo with a valid driver's license whose parent's won't let her drive and chelsea knows that the 17yo doesn't even have a driver's permit nor valid license because her parents don't think that she is responsible enough to drive. the car and the car insurance are in chelsea's parents's name; chelsea's parents do not allow their daughter to loan out her car.

the accident: the 18yo friend is driving with the 17yo friend and the 17yo friend asks to park the car. the 17yo is now driving with the 18yo as passenger and she rear ends a car in the parking lot. no damage to rear ended car, but there is significant damage to the loaned out car.

who is legally responsible? we want to do the right thing.

chelsea?and/or her parents? because she never should have loaned the car out to an unlicensed driver and a licensed driver whose parents had taken away her driving privledges for good reason and chelsea disobeyed her parents in loaning out the car.

the 18yo licensed driver?and/or her parents? because she is 18yo and should have known better not to let an unlicensed 17yo drive even if the owner, chelsea, said that it was ok. chelsea has let the 17yo drive her car before.

the unlicensed 17yo?and/or her parents? because she was the one driving and caused the accident.

a combination of all 3 of the dumb, but lucky they didn't kill someone, teens? because they all contributed. what percentage should each one be responsible for???

please help
