Is there a legal limit to monetary charges for damages brought on by the prosecuting party in an auto accident in which the defendant had no insurance at the time of the accident? defendants wpuld like to pay for damages, but abusive overcharging for damages seems to be an unjust burden. Is legal defense a viable option? If so, what reference materials are aquirable, and where would they be got from? The state is washington.

My response:

Okay, if you really want to give this a whirl on your own, and use yourself as the "great experiment", there are many books on the subject. Go to your nearest bookstore and go into their "legal" section, and buy a "How To" book on the subject.

Good luck to you.
