Took car in for service and while dealership was test driving it, the employee ran a red light and crashed into another car. No police report was issued. Dealership jacked around the repair bill to just under $1500. Generally being a pain to deal with. Dealership not letting me work with Insurance company. I feel I'm owed Compensatory damages (difference between my car's value prior to accident and current value; rental car charges).
We're talking about $3-5k. Is there any case law that you are aware of? What's the best approach to take?
