They're self insured & not taking responsibility

What is the name of your state? Pennsylvania

I was following a Met Ed truck when a rear leaf spring broke off the truck and struck my vehicle. Met Ed is self insured & denied my claim. They are saying that it was not foreseeable & there was no evidence of improper conduct. Their leaf spring supplier stated that they break all the time. The driver noted that the spring was worn and looked like it had been that way for a while (I still have it). What can I do to make them pay for the damages?

**A: what claim do you have? Did you file a report with your insurance company?

The heavy piece of metal that hit my car caused about $900 worth of damage.

I did report the incident to my insurance company but I do not have the money to pay the deductable or the increase in rates.
