I got a ticket the other day and I was writing out a check to pay for it and realized that the ticket was issued on 11-13-00. Does this make it invalid? Does anyone know if this is a case to have the ticket thrown out?

Thanks, Any help would be appreciated! Dansgal

I am a law school graduate. What I offer is mere information, not to be construed as forming an attorney client relationship.

It sometimes could be -- tickets have been thrown out for more stupid reasons. Next time, though, ask this question in the traffic BB

As to Michigan law, you need to check the county municipal code, as well.

Try this state statute and see if there is anything in there:
