I am totally disabled from hip injury in an MVA not my fault and would probably be able to return to work if I had total hip replacement surgery.

I may elect to have this surgery in the future but may want to wait for several years. Will the insurance company wait for the surgery or will they settle as if I had it already or as if I am totally disabled?
