Towing issues - Inpounded?

What is the name of your state? Florida

I was recently in a accident, my fault, with limited damages to both parties. We called the FHP and I was ticketed and told I couldn't drive the vehicle home because he feared the airbag may deploy. The officer told me I could voluntarily have the car towed to a tow station and it wouldnt cost me anything because I had insurance, he was wrong btw. So I agreed. The guy came and just took my car without saying a word to me or with me saying anything. I asked him for paperwork and he told me he didnt have any, I told him he needed to get some paperwork to me at the office and he told me the office was closed. I asked him to take me to the office and he told me no. The officer had already left the scene and this guy just took off with my car, not even letting me take anything out of it. I had to beg him just to get my school books out.

I called the next morning and the owner or whoever said he would give me 150 for the car and I could take my rims and CD player out. Today when I was in the area I called them and told them I would be picking up my items from the car and they pretty much told me the car was impounded and if i wanted anything, rims CD player, license plate, then i would have to pay them 200 dollars and they wouldnt pay me a thing for the car because it is a INPOUNDED vehicle. According to them they dont pay for inpounded vehicles and i cant touch the car unless i give them 250 dollars regardless of any oral agreements i previously had. The guy went on to yell at my mother and call her slow when she told him the car was voluntarily towed to the location.

Now I dont know what the definition of a inpounded vehicle is but I dont beleive this car was. I voluntarily chose to have the car towed to that location and was in contact with them aswell as had arrangements to retreive my stuff.

What should I do? All I really want is my rims, license playe, and CD player. I feel if I go in there they will try to bully me because im a young college student, and they are being rude. All i want is my stuff.

Wow.... this must be a real 'hoopti-mobile' if you are willing to accept only $150 for it after "limited damage"

In any case, there are several options... and the right one depends on lots of factors.
1) Call the police and ask them to escort you to recover your property.
2) Call a local attorney who can help you to recover your property.
3) File a small claims suit against the tow company for your damages (the current value of the property that they are improperly holding).

There are at least 17 lawsuits (!!) pending in various courts, including the US Supreme Court, asking if Obama is a natural born citizen (as req'd by Art II, Sec 1 of the US Constitution).

Why has he spent over $1.35M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport!

93 civic with over 200k miles. Ive had problems with it recently and just everything was seeming to go wrong. But overall the vehicle was in good working condition, I am just frustrated with it and its time for an upgrade.

1. Are they entitled to allow me to retrieve my rims / CD player?
2. Are they entitled to allow me to retrieve my license plate?
3. Weren't they required to give me some sort of paperwork because I AM the one who asked for it to be towed, I am their customer.

Theres got to be some kind of FLA statutes to protect against this.

Already answered in my earlier post.
