state of texas, rented a uhaul, bought insurance, bumped a car, insurance paid but now wants my auto insurance policy to get their money back(600 bucks)if i paid for the extra insurance why do i have to give my policy info?

If you purchase auto insurance, you shouldn't have to show your auto insurance. It's kind of like renting a car.
