Hi, I am wondering if anyone knows the statute of limitations on a personal injury suit in Iowa?

Last February, while at a friends, I was exiting his basement. The stairway has a very low overhead threshhold. I am 6'1" and hit my head on the threshhold. I was knocked unconcsious and fell down the stairs backwards. I broke all of the ribs on my left side where they connect to the spine.

Now I am having a lot of trouble with my neck. I am not looking to get a large settlement, but as I am recently uninsured, only looking for medical bills to be paid. My Dr feels that the neck troubles are a direct result of the fall. He also wants me to have a catscan to investigate what is causing the pains.

You are going to have a hard time getting ANY money for your medical expenses. Under the 'due care' principle it was your responsibility to duck, to put it mildly.

Did your 'friend' file a claim with his homeowner's insurance? If not, why not?
