I was at fault in an accident that caused damage to another auto. The driver of that car had no insurance. Am I correct in thinking that it is against Texas law to drive without insurance? An accident report has been filed and I have notified my insurance company. Should I just let my insurance company handle this or do I need to get involved?

Although one needs insurance to drive in Texas, an uninsured individual will still have rights against one who caused an accident.

You have notified your carrier. Let your insurance handle the other person's claim.
