Underinsured motorist Claim Question

My question is how long does it really takt to settle a U.M claim. My lawyer filed a demand letter with the womans insurance that hit us and they settled the claim in less that 5 days for the Maxium policy limit of 10K. So two weeks ago my lawyer sent a demand letter to allstate for our maxium policy limit of 20K under our U.M coverage and we still have heard nothing. Is allstate that slow or are they going to deny our claim resulting is us going into arbitration.

In my experience, Allstate drags their feet as long as they can. I would bet that you will end up in arbitration if they can.
