I was backed into on an off ramp in california while I was stopped. I am uninsured. There was not alot of damage but enough for me to want it fixed. I am from out of state. he is insured. is his insurance company required to fix my car and if i do file will there be penalties on me for not having insurance. thanks

My response:

When the accident is reported to the State of California, they will have your license suspended for one year and require a fine to be paid to the State. Even though you're from out of State, too.
