Uninsured Motorists

TX. Problem 1- guy hit me in my fiancees vehicle. he had no drivers license or ins.
Problem 2 - this was my fiancees truck and instead of his ins adding me, they excluded me.
problem 3 - my ins (geico) wont pay the damages to my fiancees truck bc i was not at fault.

Since it was an uninsured motorist, should my fiancees ins cover it still since i was in fact not at fault?

Would someone please give me some kind of idea of what to do?

You were excluded from the policy. You should not have been driving the vehicle.

If you are living together (same household) and he did not get you listed on his policy, you are not covered.

Do you have uninsured motorist or collision coverage on YOUR insurance? If so, it may pay. If not, you will have to sue the uninsured at fault driver.

uninsured motorist

We did not know that I was excluded on his insurance. I was supposed to be added.

My insurance will not pay because I was not at fault.

That means you had only liability coverage. So you will have to sue the other driver in small claims court and hope you can collect.

Do you have written proof that your fiance told his insurance company to add you to his policy as a driver?
