vehicle valuation

What is the name of your state?AZ
Was r/e on 11-23-04. Other carrier has accepted liability. My vehicle was totalled. 94 Altima with 50,000 actual miles.(driven by my grandmother from day 1). Well maintained with all records. Based on valuation report of carrier my vehicles mileage alone puts my car as 4 years old. This car had a perfect paint job, no dings no scratches, perfect interior - no stains, tears, etc. It would have lasted me easily another 5 years and still been an outstanding vehicle for someone. Carrier pulled comps that have anywhere from 90-180K in miles, interiors are not in good shape and body has dings and scratches. They are offering $500 below the average of their comps. I have provided maintenance records, photos of prior to accident in/outside of vehicle, comps that while not in AZ are in states with lower cost of living, but the vehicle is actually comparable to mine. They say they stand on their low ball offer. What is my next step? Thanks for help and recommendations

Unfortunately it's very hard to win these arguements w/ an insurance company. Since we're talking $500, it isn't worth it to sue the person who hit you.

Keep trying to negotiate w/ the company and keep your point on what you said here. Car in good shape etc., etc. You might mention to them that you are considering suing their insured. That in turn would force them to provide an atty f/ their insured which may make them re-think the settlement offer. No guarantees though.

Good luck!
