Last year, my wife and two daughters were nearly lost in an automobile accident. At the time she was five and a half months pregnant. Over the next few months as she was wheelcahir bound, helplessly watching her 4 year old daughter slowly recover in a body cast, there is little doubt that all of this had a significant stressful impact on the safe delivery of the baby. In January, at full term the baby died. I am trying to determine what body of knowlege exists on the impact of stress ona successful pregnancy?
