What if they wnt more....

What is the name of your state? California

I rear ended a vehicle on the freeway and I was also subsequently rear ended. I hit vehicle one and the driver of vehicle one is suing myself, my husband, and the driver of the car that hit me.

First Question - Why are they suing myself (the driver) and my husband (who wasn't even there) separately?

We are covered for $100,000.00 per individual and $300,000.00 per occurance. Driver one is suing for whiplash and soft tissue damage

Second Question - I have bank accounts, etc., with my husband. I also have a joint account with my mother though all the funds that are there are hers. Could that money be "tapped" into if Vehicle one driver is suing for more than I'm covered for?

More Questions - We just bought a house. Can they go after that? Our cars? Our motorcycles?

Then you need to find out the name of the attorney and be asking your questions directly to someone that has the information on the accident and is familar with the laws in your state.
