My sister was a passenger and died along with the driver of the vehicle. The accident report states that the car was going over the speed limit in very bad rain. This happened in Alabama. The drivers insurance will only give $25,000 to the family members. Can the insurance be liable for more than they state in their policy?

My response:

No. But, the Estate of the driver can be held responsible.
