Whiplash from a fender-bender?

What is the name of your state?Texas - Yesterday , I was hit from behind while waiting to turn right. This car came and hit me. Fortunatley there was no damage to either car, I didn't think it was that big of a deal until I woke up this morning and my neck feels like someone took a baseball bat to it. I've talked to several people and they all agree that I may have whiplash. How do I go about this?? I've never been in an accident before, worst of all, if I do have whiplash, what about my 2yr. old who was in the backseat.
Please any advise would definatley help..
Thanks!

You handle this by going to the doctor, and taking your 2 yr old to the doctor. Do you have the other driver's insurance information?

yes, I do have the other driver's car insurance. The problem is I recently changed jobs, and am in that lapse of health insurance. Can I have the other driver reimburse/pay for the doctor's visits? I'm pretty sure I can, I just don't know as to how to go about it. I also have her home/work #.

Turn it into the other drivers insurance co. They may handle your meds. If not turn it into yours. Getting the other driver to pay meds directly is too pre-mature at this point. If he has valid insurance he will just send it to them anyway.

You and your son get checked out at the doctor as a pre-caution. If all you have is whiplash it will go away in a few days. This is the most minor injury one can have in an auto accident. Be glad it wasn't serious.
