I was running errands for the place where I worked when I hit a rock and scratched and scraped the passenger's side of my car. My job is telling me that because it was my personal vehicle then I have to pay to fix it. But if I was using my car for work related errands, does that not mean they are liable?

Thanks!

They are not liable for damage you caused to your vehicle. If you had damaged someone else's property or injured someone and you were driving your personal vehicle for work, then your employer could be liable to the other party.
