Wife hit my car

What is the name of your state? Florida

My wife hit my car and Geico is indicating that I must pay 2 deductibles on my policy because they have to file 2 collision claims, since both vehicles are covered under the same policy and are owned by my wife and I. Why must 2 claims be filed and why are damages to my vehicle not covered under the liability coverage. They keep stating the exclusionary clause of "property owned" in the liability section.

Did you read the clause?

Yes, under the liability section it states that they do not cover any damage to : (a) property owned, or transported by an insured; or (b) property rented to or in charge of an insured other than a residence or private garage.

The thing is that the language of the document states specifically that of owned auto and non-owned auto, but not in this clause, therefore leading me to think that the property mentioned here does not include my automobiles.

Any thoughts?

"property owned by the insured" likely includes your auto and since you and your wife are "insureds" under the policy, coverage is excluded....check the definition of property in your policy.
