Oregon. While on the job as a full-time hourly employee in which fifty percent of my job requires driving, I was training a new self contracted person. I was seat belted in the backseat when the driver traveled 30 MPH and abruptly stopped the car and threw it in reverse before the car stopped rocking. I hit my head on the back of the front seat several times and injured my L-5. I had an MRI on my lower back. I filed a comp claim and have a limited release, no driving, bending, etc. Should I contact an Attorney regarding Workers’ Comp or would the drivers insurer also be liable? Thank you in advance.
