What is the name of your state? Missouri

John Doe and Mary Doe were married but had no children. Mary Doe was killed in a traffic accident. John Doe later died. Mary Doe's only heir is her sister.

Who is the proper party to file a wrongful death suit: The estate of John Doe or Mary Doe's sister?
