about to be sued for 250.00. What can i do to avoid this??

i buy a car for 3700 and now the dealership stated that i still owe 250.00 but i don't i made the final payment in feb 02. i was stupid because i didn't get receipts of my payment the only can say is record is my bank statement. i did my last two payment in cash and on a credt card for 250.00. i also had to persons take my credit card and my cash and they both agree that i made my payment. i want to know can i sue them for misplacing my funds before they can sue me in civil court for the 250.00. i believe to my soul that they posted the cash of 250.00 in some one acct and are to lazy to look for it. i can't make another payment until i'm sure that i didn't make this payment. but it shows on my bank statement that balance in full payment was made. can someone please advise me on this??

If you don't pay the $250, they could repo the car before you get the problem sorted out.

Until you have the title to the car, the lender can take the car back if they believe that you haven't paid the money owed.

I suggest you resolve it quickey before they come and take the car from you.
