arbitration

you have been helping me in my defense of a civil suit. i was informed that mississippi sol is 3 years on a vehicle repossesion. vehicle was repossesed in 1994, i moved to and currently live in new jersey. i was not served until 1999. i have an arbitration hearing scheduled and i need to find the statute which states that sol is 3 years. can you tell me where i can find this information?
i found that "an action to enforce an obligation, duty or right arising under this chapter must be commenced within 3 years" (75-4-111). is this the correct statute?
i also found that a "contract for sale" has a 6 year sol.
which of these statutes if any apply to me?
