auto repo

What is the name of your state? Alabama

How can I find Alabama's laws on repossessing a vehicle? Must a bank notify the individual first or give them opportunity to get belongings from car? Must an account be delinquent 30 days or soemthing like that? I paid cash for my car when it was new, but refinanced it to buy my son a motorcycle. The bank holds the title to the car and bike. Now they have repoed the car (I'm barely over 30 days late), but I have made strides in catching up...I was 4 months late a year ago. Looks like since I've caught it up (almost), they'd be less likely to take it, but they say they are repoing anything over 30 days now. How can they change their ways like that with no notice? They will also take my son's motorcycle next, as its on the note. I feel like I should at least be able to get clear title to the bike, as its not worth much and the car was worth enough for the note without the bike. Why should my son and I pay for the bank's change-of-policy by losing our transportation with no notice? This is a new bank and they admitted to being in some sort of trouble with the State auditors as their reason for doing this. I think they made a lot of mistakes in this loan and the repo.
